Olivia Masi

Welcome to my website!

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University and a Research Fellow at the AXA Gender Lab at Bocconi University. 

I hold a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in Fiesole (Florence), Italy. My supervisors were Sule Alan and Andrea Ichino. I was a visiting student at the London School of Economics during Fall 2021.

My research focuses on:

• Intimate Partner Violence: determinants and drivers of IPV, behavior of victims and offenders. 

• Gender Economics: gender quotas; women's political representation; family policies; demand-side discrimination. 

• Economics of Education: gender differences in time use and test scores.
